Mabel Brewing Co.
The origins of the name for Mabel Brewing Company trace back to 1918, when our forebear H.M. Walker of Enderby, BC, secured a large lakefront property on Mabel Lake, BC. While all of the land was subdivided and sold for $200 a parcel in later years, a cherished small lot remains within the family. For generations, our family has shared many a beverage and countless memories at our beloved lakefront cabin.

Kevin and Kimberly began their journey together over two decades ago in Chilliwack, BC. While Kevin pursued his career as a paramedic, Kimberly established her own business. They built a life together in Chilliwack, raising their family. However, an injury necessitated a career change for Kevin, leading him to a role with BCEHS dispatch and prompting their relocation to Kamloops

As Kevin matured and faced health challenges, he sought healthier alternatives. Introduced to kombucha, this seasoned homebrewer drew upon his fermentation expertise to begin experimenting in his basement. The initial stages of Mabel Brewing involved small-scale research and development within this home-based brewery. Our family and friends played a crucial role, acting as both initial taste testers and our first supporters, helping us lay the foundation for Mabel Brewing

Mabel Brewing Co. was established in 2021, utilizing a shared kitchen space provided by the Kamloops Food Policy Council as our initial production hub. Our successful launch at the local Farmers' Market in spring 2022 quickly demonstrated strong market demand, prompting the need to expand our operations by relocating to our own dedicated production facility
