What is Water-Kefir?
Water-Kefir is a popular drink that originated from ancient times and has many health benefits. It is a type of functional beverage that uses a SCOBY (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast) to transform sweetened filtered water, fruits and fruit juices into a fizzy and flavorful drink. The SCOBY consumes the sugars, creating various acids and a small amount of alcohol, which give water-kefir its unique taste. water-kefir like kombucha is rich in probiotics, which are good bacteria that can help with gut health and digestion. Water-kefir is caffeine free, is high in antioxidants, b-vitamins and digestive enzymes.
Can I still enjoy water-kefir if I'm diabetic?

Does water-kefir contain alcohol?
Yes, as with all cultured and fermented foods, a small amount of naturally occurring alcohol is typically present in the finished product. Every batch brewed is tested to ensure they contain less than 0.5% abv and are considered non-alcoholic beverages
