What is Kombucha?
Kombucha is a popular drink that originated from ancient times and has many health benefits. It is a type of fermented tea that uses a SCOBY (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast) to transform sweetened tea into a fizzy and flavorful beverage. The SCOBY consumes the sugar in the tea, creating various acids and a small amount of alcohol, which give kombucha its unique taste. Kombucha is rich in probiotics, which are good bacteria that can help with gut health and digestion. Kombucha also has antioxidants, b-vitamins and digestive enzymes.
Can I still enjoy kombucha if I'm diabetic?
Due to the antioxidant content and its effect on the liver and kidney functions, kombucha can help manage glucose levels. read more
Does kombucha contain any caffeine, dairy, gluten, or animal products?
All our Kombucha cultures contain on average about 15mg of caffeine per 355ml bottle and only contain filtered water, organic green & black tea, organic sugar, and natural flavours.
Does kombucha contain alcohol?
Yes, as with all cultured and fermented foods, a small amount of naturally occurring alcohol is typically present in the finished product. All our batches are test to ensure they contain less than 0.5% abv and are considered non-alcoholic beverages
Why glass bottles?
